TIPS FOR WRITING LETTERS

Your letter can be very simple - or more complex
Always be polite
Think about what you want to say before you start writing - sometimes making a plan on scrap paper will help
Make your point a simply as you can

I am deeply concerned that the Primary Care Trust is considering closing Doddington Hospital.

I believe that people in South Fenland have a right to good local health care, without driving for miles across the countryside or relying on the awful public transport system we have in Fenland.

Doddington Hospital is underfunded at the moment, even though it is in use all the time by local people. Instead of closing it I would like to see proper investment to make Doddington a more modern hospital.

I would like to see money spent on upgrading the current facilities, opening a minor injuries unit, and providing a better X-ray department.

I'd also like the PCT to work with local authorities to ensure proper public transport to the hospital.

Please listen to the views of the people that use the health service in South Fenland and please upgrade our hospital.
